    Yoshinao Nakada

August 1, 1923 — Shibuya, Tokyo Prefecture, Japan

One of Japan's leading composers. Many songs that have been loved by generations, such as “Summer Memories,” “Medaka no Gakkou,” and “Snowful Town” were left behind. There are nearly 3,000 songs and piano songs. Nakata was born in Tokyo as the son of Akira Nakata, a musician known for “Early Spring”. He became familiar with nursery rhymes such as Hakuaki Kitahara and Kogo Yamada from an early age, and entered the Tokyo Music School (currently Tokyo University of the Arts). During this time, I kept carrying my skin and read it repeatedly, reading Saijo 80's collection of nursery rhymes. It greatly influenced the way of life of Nakata after the war. "What can I do in Japan in the defeated country?" After the war, Nakata, who began composing, quickly emerged and became widely known for the composition of “Summer Memories” in 1949. While making an image inspired by poetry as a sound, he continued his composition work until his later years with his belief that “pursuit of a melody that makes Japanese sound beautiful”. Throughout his life, he continued to convey what good music for children is, such as "Beautiful sounds are born only by knowing silence." He talks about his thoughts on Nakata's composition.
